The formidable debut feature from Yang Ik-Joon, who also stars as a loan shark with a hair-trigger temper. His violent outbursts are directly connected to his brutal upbringing, and when he forms a friendship with a tough and resourceful schoolgirl (Kim Gol-bi), he finds a potential path to redemption. With shades of Naked and Nil by Mouth, this is an extra-strength cinema experience.
