The Cut is London's only youth-led publication for a mainstream audience.
Made through the unique collaboration of top media industry mentors and a team of 40 young people, The Cut is London's only youth-led publication for a mainstream audience. The publication profiles new talent alongside more established artists like Slash and MC Bashy.
Amidst a furore of media hysteria around youth violence, The Cut is what London needs right now. A platform for positivity, without the cliches. A space to celebrate but also critique what is going on in our city.
As part of Nought To Sixty, the ICA have commissioned The Cut to produce this blog to keep you up to date about the events and exhibitions taking place. Keep a look out for the summer edition of The Cut which hits shops and arts centres around London in August.
The Cut is published by Hardcore Is More Than Music, which was set up by artists and social entrepreneurs Nendie Pinto-Duschinsky and Nina Manandhar in 2003. Active at grass roots level, HIMTM works day to day with young people to promote social inclusion and create ambitious arts projects, helping those young people to raise their prospects. Inspired by the moving experiences and relationships that they have developed, HIMTM create publications, films and art works which are exhibited internationally.
