Adopt a Seat

In May 2009, the ICA Cinemas will undergo a major refurbishment. Join filmmakers and artists in supporting the CinematICA fundraising campaign by adopting a seat.

The ICA Cinemas are undergoing a major refurbishment in 2009, and we are raising much-needed funding to make it all happen and to secure the future of independent cinema at the ICA. The result will be improved access for all, state-of-the-art projection and sound, more comfortable seating and raking (all the better to see those subtitles) and climate control.

By adopting a seat you'll be in the company of leading lights such as Tim Roth, Michael Sheen, Natalie Press, Mike Figgis, Mike Hodges, Mike Leigh and Wallace & Gromit. Your seat will carry your name or message, or can be dedicated to a family member or friend (maximum 60 characters long) for a minimum period of 5 years.

There are three tiers of support:

Silver Seat Sponsor: £300 (Cinema 2)
Name on seat in Cinema 2 + Name on honour board and website + 1 year's ICA Membership.

Gold Seat Sponsor: £600 (Cinema 1)
Name on seat in Cinema 1 + Name on honour board and website + 1 year's membership + invitations to select ICA Cinema previews and events + invitation to exclusive ICA Cinema relaunch party.

Platinum Seat Sponsor: £1500 (Cinema 1)
Name on seat in Cinema 1 + Name on honour board and website + 1 year's membership + invitations to select ICA Cinema previews and VIP events + invitation to exclusive ICA Cinema relaunch party + opportunity to book Cinema 2 for your own private screening.

Organisations: why not sponsor a whole row of seats (10 or more). The ICA can offer a bespoke package of benefits to your company which combine employee privileges, corporate hospitality, client cultivation and corporate social responsibility.

ICA Members can adopt a seat at special rates from just £250.

There are a strictly limited number of seats available to adopt in the new cinemas. Seats will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please provide an email address and phone number so that we can contact you in the event that your seat choice is unavailable.

For further information please contact the Cinema office on 020 7766 1417 or cinematica@ica.org.uk

Donating online helps keep our administration costs down, which contributes to CinematICA funds. But if you would rather pay by post, you can send a cheque, made payable to ICA Ltd., with your name, address, email and contact number to:
