Guidelines for Artists' Submissions and Exhibition Proposals

The ICA's exhibitions are programmed up to two years in advance, with the majority of exhibitions and projects arising from direct invitations to artists and curators. Therefore we are rarely able to accommodate unsolicited submissions for exhibitions.

If you choose to make a submission, it will be reviewed individually by a member of the exhibitions team. Your submission will be returned if accompanied by a stamped addressed envelope.

If you are based in the United Kingdom it is important that you visit our spaces before submitting any proposal.

Please note that due to the number of submissions we receive, the ICA is not able to offer individual feedback.

Written submissions should include:

• A letter introducing yourself/your organisation, stating clearly your reason for contact with the ICA
• A short statement about your work
• A list of works with title, date, media, dimensions/duration
• An up-to-date Curriculum Vitae
• Clearly labelled examples of work in the form of printed images, digital images, or DVD. Please do not send any original material.
