Lorna Macintyre's practice combines photography and sculpture, drawing on simple and formal processes and on the heady language of 19th-century symbolism. The artist creates analogies between man and nature, using alchemical procedures in her photographic, metal, wood and glass work that emphasise the mystical aspects of artistic creation.
